Hopkins County Source Book:
is locally owned and operated by Michael and Kerri. Michael has his B.S. in Computer Information Systems and Kerri has her B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science. Michael, from Arkansas, and Kerri, from Texas, met at college in Tennessee and later married on March 20, 2004. Together they have created an excellent Source Book for making the connection you need to help your day run smoother. Whether you are looking for a doctor, attorney, lawn mowing service, or just a friend's phone number the Hopkins County Source Book is for you. But why choose Hopkins County to do an independent telephone book? A friend of the family was passing through Madisonville and picked up a phone book, or what they described as a floppy magazine. Knowing that Michael's parents, Mike and Ellie, had been in the phone book business for over 15 years, he was quick to get their interest. They evaluated the situation and started the plan of action that turned into the first Madisonville Regional Directory, published in May of 2003. After Michael's graduation his parents turned the responsibility of the business over to him. Since then Michael and Kerri have listened to the community and have made such changes, as the name itself, the physician section, coupons, more restaurant menu pages, and listings for Clay, Dixon, Providence, Slaughters of Webster County as well as Sacramento of McClean County. There are some things that will not change like the LARGE font, all the cities listed together in one section alphabetically, and especially the handy size book that makes it perfect for office, home, or car. Michael and Kerri will continue to listen and make feasible changes that will better serve the community. Hopkins County Source Book received the 2006-2007 Reader's Choice award for "Best Telephone Book."
